Pastor Emeritus

Dr. G. Henry Wells served as Senior Pastor of Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church from 1985-2008. Considered for years to be the unofficial pastor of Sacramento, Henry continues to have a passionate interest in the spiritual renewal of this region. In the past he has led citywide Concerts of Prayer and Prayer Summits, and has organized area pastors for ongoing prayer and fellowship. Henry has taken part in every major local evangelistic outreach. He was Vice President of the Billy Graham Crusade’s Executive Committee and has served similarly with the Harvest Crusade, the Tony Campolo Outreach, and the Sacramento Evangelistic Outreach. In addition to furthering his vision for spiritual renewal, Henry is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the KFIA Foundation and hosts a weekly “Pastor to Pastor” radio program on KFIA.

Evangelism was also at the heart of Henry’s ministry before life as a pastor: He worked with the Haggai Institute of Atlanta as Crusade Director, traveling extensively with founder John Edmund Haggai. He is still active with the Institute in an advisory capacity.

Dr. Wells received both his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from San Francisco Theological Seminary. He is married to Deborah, who teaches computer technology at a local Christian school, and they have two children, Lindsey and Emily.
